Windows media player album cover updating
When this happens the best thing to do is manually update them using a downloaded image file. You can find a lot more images online and will probably find the correct one rather than using WMP 12. There are Websites on the Internet that specialize in music album cover art. When I change MP3s, (Windows Media Player running this time), sometimes the cover stays stuck still on the cover of (A), sometimes it displays the good one.If I quit at this time and restart Windows Media Player with the same MP3, the cover of (A) is back again... As far as I know, there is no way to stop WMP from doing this.Furthermore, the album artworks may be incorrect, erroneously assigned to wrong CD, empty (music album not tagged with album art and shown with generic album art), corrupt or messed up.Art Fixer from AV Soft is a program that provides user friendly interface to fix album arts and CD covers plus other music information such as album artist and title.Instead, the player edits them for you automatically from an online database.
My problem is similar to this one but no solution has been posted. If I try to reproduce the problem at this moment, what happens is that when I double-click on a MP3 in Windows Explorer (Windows 7, WMP12 not already running), the cover that will be displayed is from a MP3 I played earlier in the week, which we'll call (A).The cover display in the status bar of Windows Explorer is correct though.I keep my audio files tagged in windows media library. Album Arts(thumbnails) are not updated in the media library.
But correct album arts are displayed while playing the media.Users can also click on “Check Albums” button to let Art Fixer check all albums for albums that don’t have album art (just generic album art with musical note picture) or album artist and whether all tracks from that album residing in the same folder. If errors and problems are found, the detected album are shown and can be fixed by clicking on “Fix” button. When running Art Fixer, it will read all albums from the library and then show the first album in the startup screen.
